There is still one nail left to be hammered into the pine box. The railroads have appeared in the mountains. Everyone is pretty sure he was in fact hung. But the trees have their secrets. And one girl is witness. To the passing of an era. To the violence of love. To the ageless tradition of song.

Join us on a journey through Little Omie's eyes. She sees the landscape changing. She misses her grandmother. She hears the stories of the earth, and keeps jokes in her pocket. Is she all alone? Or will he come back?

This is a story of reckoning and grief. Of rocking chairs, murder ballads, and the possibility of redemption.
